Forbidden Sweet Potato Bowl
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Forbidden rice (black rice), cooked and kept warm
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 2 cups Brussels sprouts, trimmed and quartered
  • 1 medium size sweet potato, diced
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • ¼ cup chopped green onion
  • ¼ cup torn basil
  • ¼ cup torn mint leaves
  • 1 avocado, pitted and diced
  • 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
  • Sriracha or other hot sauce, as desired
  • Lime slices
  • subheading: Sauce:
  • 1 tablespoon tamari
  • 2 small garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar (or you can use regular sugar)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Pinch of chili flakes, to taste
