  • 1-½ teaspoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon freeze dried chives (may substitute freeze dried scallion/spring onions)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered chicken flavor base (or bouillon granules)
  • ¼ cup instant dried buttermilk powder (may substitute regular powdered milk)
  • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
  • a pinch to ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt (omit if adding bacon)
  • 2 tablespoons packaged real bacon bits (optional)*
  • 1-¾ cups boiling water
