Violet Simple Syrup

Real food takes time, fortunately I'm retired and have it. Having lost 30 lb with LCHF, I'm gradually increasing carbs to find my level of tolerance.

Fresh tasting syrup for beverages and baking

1 cup of violet petals, gently packed, stems and calyxes removed (the calyx is the green part that holds the petals together)

1 cup of water

1 cup of sugar
