Salisbury Steak with Potatoes & Gravy
Ingredients
  • Salisbury Steak with Potatoes & Gravy
  • -1 to 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • -1 onion chopped finely
  • -½ cup dry cracker crumbs (I used saltines)
  • -1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • -1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • -½ teaspoon pepper
  • -½ teaspoon onion powder
  • -½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • -½ teaspoon ground celery seed ( don't worry if you don't have, I had some celery salt  on hand that I sprinkled in)
  • -¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Potatoes & Gravy ...
  • -2 tablespoons oil
  • -1 (14oz) can beef broth (I used 1 ¾ cup water + 3 teaspoons beef base)
  • -2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • -1 (1oz) packet dried onion soup mix ( I used Beefy onion soup mix)
  • -2 to 3 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cut in wedges (I cut my med. Sized potato into 4)  they were done perfectly)
  • -2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • -½ cup cold milk or water
