Ingredients
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 4 eggs (or 8 yolks)
  • ⅓ c sugar
  • splash of vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • sprinkle of ground nutmeg
  • subheading: I made the recipe the same way my grandma did - Mix together eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Heat the milk until it's hot, but not boiling - I just used the microwave. Slowly mix the hot milk into the egg mixture. Strain into a four cup measuring cup. Pour into custard cups. TIGHTLY COVER CUPS WITH TIN FOIL. Two layers of cups into the IP for six minutes on manual with a natural release for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with nutmeg. You can eat it warm or chill and eat it cold. Bliss either way.:
