BREAD/SCONE-Orange Cream Scones
Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp orange zest, about the zest of 1 large orange
  • ½ cup cubed butter, cold
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup heavy cream, plus more for brushing
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • subheading: Glaze:
  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 to 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest (optional--it makes the glaze extra orange-flavored!)
