My Banana Cream Pie
Ingredients
  • 1qt half n half
  • ¾ c sugar
  • ¾ c cornstarch
  • 3 T butter
  • 3 egg yolks
  • ¼t salt
  • 1t vanilla
Steps
  1. Mix together sugar and cornstarch and salt and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan scald the half n half then pour in the sugar mixture stirring well.  Stir until thickened over medium heat.  Temper in the egg yolks and stir cooking about 1 more minute.  Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.  Place Saran Wrap over top to prevent scab and cool.
