Ingredients
  • subheading: For tofu:
  • 400 g extra firm tofu, pressed for 30 min
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 4 T all purpose flour
  • subheading: For sauce:
  • 1 T rice vinegar
  • 3 T soy sauce
  • 2 T hoisin sauce
  • 3 T sweet chili sauce
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 T flour
  • subheading: For the stir fry:
  • ¼ red onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • ¼ red bell pepper
Steps
  1. After pressing your tofu, tear into bite sized pieces. Toss with olive oil, and then flour. Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet, and air fry for 14 minutes at 450F. Alternatively, bake for 25 minutes at 400F.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare your sauce by combining all ingredients in a jar or container.
  3. Heat pan over medium heat with a small amout of olive oil. Add the garlic, onion and pepper and saute for 3 to 5 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the sauce and simmer over low for a few minutes until thickened. Add the tofu to pan and stir until covered in sauce. Serve over rice.
