Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
  • 3 russet potatoes, peeled
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 to 5 tablespoons milk or cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
Steps
  1. 1. Cube potatoes. Place in medium sauce pan and cover with cold water. Add some salt. OPTIONAL: Add garlic.
  2. 2. Boil potatoes until tender. Drain well.
  3. 3. Mash potatoes with a fork. Mash in butter, salt, and pepper to taste. Add in milk or cream 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached. (Don't over mash!) OPTIONAL: Add more garlic.
