Cheesy Caramelised Onion and Bacon Pasta Bake

  • 500g pasta
  • 120g reduced fat cheddar grated (three HEAs)
  • 3 large onions
  • 60ml balsamic vinegar
  • a couple of those pre-grilled red peppers in brine that you buy in a jar ( you may have some leftover from yesterday’s recipe, which uses them in abundance)
  • 150g quark or use 115g of Philadelphia lightest (one HEA)
  • 10 tbsp reduced fat creme fraiche (5 syns)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
