Original Mississippi Pot Roast Recipe
Ingredients
  • 3 to 4 lbs chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter (huge emphasis on unsalted here)
  • 6 pepperoncini peppers
  • 8 hours on low
Steps
  1. The original recipe called for 6 pepperoncinis, I added the entire jar... plus the liquid. I also added a small jar of some random spicy pepper that I can't for the life of me seem to identify at the moment. Be careful overfilling your crockpot the first time you are making this recipe as a lot of liquid will be pulled from the roast.
