Instant Pot Smokies & mushrooms Rotini in Roasted Garlic Alfredo sauce

Ingredients
- 1 package of Smokies sausage (5/pack)
- 1 package of Oyster mushrooms (may sub for any mushrooms)
- 4 cloves of Garlic
- 2½ cups of chicken broth
- 1 box of super greens Rotini (you can use any kind)
- 1 jar of Roasted Garlic Alfredo sauce
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (optional)
Steps
- Slice smokies, mushrooms and mince the garlic and set aside.
- Set the pot on sauté and add olive oil.
- Sauté the garlic until fragrant (2 minutes) and add the sliced sausages. Sauté for about 3 more minutes. Then add mushrooms and sauté for another 2 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
- Turn off the instant pot by pressing cancel. Remove the content from the pot and add a little of the chicken broth while turning the pot back to Sauté to deglaze.
- After deglazing, turn off the pot again and add the garlic, mushrooms and smokies back into the pot.
- Add the Rotini and the jar of pasta sauce and spread the sauce on top of the pasta.
- Add the chicken broth and put the lid on the pot.
- Set the pot on Manual for 5 minutes (half the time of cooking the pasta on the stove + 1 minute).
- Quick pressure release when the pot is done cooking and beeping.
- Add the shredded cheese to the pasta slowly while keeping the pot on the keep warm setting.
- Let the pasta sit in keep warm for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
